It was an absolute pleasure to paint this painting for the client remembering her strolls with her beloved dog on the beach Sandymount. I am not a portrait artist but my work is about an impression and atmosphere. I loved painting my lovely client and her beloved dog.

Schools out for Summer
This original palette knife painting is inspired by memories of my own childhood. Summers on Portmarnock and Donabate beach. Glorious Summers where we didn't even have to wear a cardigan. At least that's what I remember and Summers with my own children at the beach. I call the series " making memories" as time spent with loved ones is just that. Times you will look back on. Especially when the children are grown or when you your self the Adult.
Hope the painting brings back such memories for the viewer.
