I had the great honor of being commissioned by Michael Fetherston to paint 20 original oil palette knife paintings inspired by features of the grounds and the Barton family's history. The paintings are in the New Barton Grill Restaurant in the K Club.

Cherry Blossom trees for a New Kildare Home – Commission

The 4 paintings were painted in the period January to March 2019. It was a wonderful experience and a learning curve having 4 large wet oil paintings in my studio proved challenging but exciting wonderful and rewarding. Schools out for Summer
This original palette knife painting is inspired by memories of my own childhood. Summers on Portmarnock and Donabate beach. Glorious Summers where we didn't even have to wear a cardigan. At least that's what I remember and Summers with my own children at the beach. I call the series " making memories" as time spent with loved ones is just that. Times you will look back on. Especially when the children are grown or when you your self the Adult.
Hope the painting brings back such memories for the viewer.
