This original oil palette knife painting is inspired by the memory of the fields of red tulips that grew beside me when I moved to my first house . The local family grew flowers it was their family business. I didn't even paint then its over 30 years ago. The fields are now filled with houses but I will always remember the fields of beautiful Red flowers. I used artistic licence and painted poppies. I love this impressive xxl painting

Schools out for Summer
This original palette knife painting is inspired by memories of my own childhood. Summers on Portmarnock and Donabate beach. Glorious Summers where we didn't even have to wear a cardigan. At least that's what I remember and Summers with my own children at the beach. I call the series " making memories" as time spent with loved ones is just that. Times you will look back on. Especially when the children are grown or when you your self the Adult.
Hope the painting brings back such memories for the viewer.
